Chicago trip, day 1

Well, day 1 doesn't actually include Chicago, but we traveled most of the way there. We left Tennessee around 3:30.

Thanks to the DVD players (thanks, Grandma & Grandpa!) it was a quiet trip.

We stopped for dinner in Jeffersonville, IN (across the river from Louisville, KY) at Rocky's Italian Grill. The food was ok, but the server was really friendly and we got one of the best tables in the house. We were seated right next to the window, which overlooks Louisville and the Ohio River. It was fun looking out and spotting boats and looking at the skyline.

After dinner, we drove to Lafayette, IN to spend the night. Despite running into some construction which had us at crawl for the better part of an hour, we made it.

Tomorrow morning we plan to drive the rest of the way to Chicago (about 2-3 hours depending on traffic and construction) and see the Museum of Science and Industry.
