We had a cozy little mini-vacation over the first weekend of spring break at a cabin in Boone, NC. The weather was misty, rainy and foggy, which cut down on some of the hiking we had planned. But there was plenty to do anyway.
Our cabin had foosball and air hockey. Look at the concentration!
Movies are always a fun and relaxing way to enjoy yourself.
Even Felicity had a good time.
It was warm enough to relax on the front porch.... at least for a little while.
And if we got too cold outside, the hot tub was warm and inviting!Sunday afternoon, the weather cleared up enough for us to walk up to the top of the mountain we were staying on.

The fog has receded to the tops of the mountains in this photo. When we drove up to the cabin for the first time Saturday night, though, it enveloped the whole mountain. We were never so happy to have arrived at our destination.
We had a little pond across the way from the cabin. Of course, Nicholas wanted to see how cold the water was!
