Happy 2nd Birthday, Riley!

When my sister hosts an event, she does it right! My niece, Riley, turned 2 on Saturday, and she had a barnyard-themed festival of a party! There was a bounce house, a fishin' hole, bean bag toss, a coloring station, face painting, and the decorations were fantastic. Luckily, Ann Marie has a very creative best friend, Paisley, and when they get together, it's outstanding. Riley even had a cow-print dress to wear, courtesy of my sister.

Here's Riley testing out the slide before the party began. Megan had a softball tournament, but got to stop by for a visit before the festivities really got rolling. The tractor Megan is sitting on belonged to Riley's dad, Drew, when he was a boy.

The family room was a barn yard, the food had names like "chicken feed," "haystacks," "moo burgers," and "Riley's garden," and the cupcakes were each a work of art.

The fishin' hole was wildly popular, despite the cool spring time temperatures. Riley's hem got wet first, then her feet, and by the end she was soaked through! But she had a great time. And after the waterplay, she found some time to do a little coloring and share some stickers with her cousin Ellen.

Few random shots: Riley eyeing Nicholas's plate, Megan with Riley just before heading to a softball game, Riley opening her gifts.

Happy birthday, Riley!! We love you!
